Nashville Connections
Danielle Westphal and Ken Giese invite you to experience the friendly, relaxed atmosphere of Nashville's famed Bluebird Café right here at Blues Alley in Georgetown. This unique, multi-genre night of music connects Billboard chart-topping songwriters from Nashville with popular Washington DC singer/songwriters. The first show was in June of 2004 and the second in this series took place February 21, 2005. Click links on the left to see performance photos and read about the fantastic musicians featured in each show.

With her smooth, rich, and clear voice, Danielle Westphal has established herself as a popular and entertaining vocalist. Her list of accomplishments includes performing twice at the White House for receptions for President and Mrs. Clinton, performing on the former Presidential Yacht Sequoia, singing in popular clubs in Paris, France, and performing with her jazz trio on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center.

Danielle co-produced and starred in Divas of DC in 2003 and 2004. This is the second Nashville Connections show she and co-producer, Ken Giese, have organized. The first was a huge success and took place at Blues Alley in June of 2004.

Ken Giese is a veteran singer/songwriter with over 100 songs to his credit. He is lead singer and guitarist for the Idle Time Band which has been playing in the Washington DC metro area for over 20 years.
